Donna May Frederick was born in 1954 to Irvan F. Greenacre and Marjorie E. Greenacre, both of South Dakota. Her family moved to Albuquerque in 1958, and she graduated from Manzano High School in 1972.
Shortly after graduation, she married her first husband, Jeffrey Herzog, and they were stationed in the Azores Islands, Portugal, where she gave birth to her daughter, Jodie, in 1975.
After returning to the states, Donna moved back to Albuquerque, where she started working at Digital Equipment Corporation. It was there that she met her second husband, Dale J. Frederick. They married in 1984, and she gave birth to her son, Mark, in 1985.
After her tenure at Digital, Donna worked for Sandia Labs Federal Credit Union and SAIC in records management. She would later launch a second career as a bus driver, first for Albuquerque Public Schools and later for the University of New Mexico.
Her most beloved hobby was beading jewelry and ornaments, making intricate and beautiful creations in delica beads. She was an avid reader and lover of puzzle books and rom coms. She had a huge heart for dogs, especially golden retrievers, and was a foster for many goldens over the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irvan and Marjorie Greenacre, and her dogs Sandy, Brook, and Pebbles. She is survived by her husband Dale Frederick, children Jodie Frederick (Joseph Sanchez) and Mark Frederick (Amanda Summers), grandchildren Megan Villalobos (Oscar) and Ashton Sanchez, great-grandchildren Melanie and Maddox Villalobos, and dogs Daisy and Autumn.
