DonaVee Clarice Butler

DonaVee Clarice Butler (Danley), Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother, unexpectedly went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 1, 2024. She was born on August 26, 1950, in Albuquerque, New Mexico and remained a lifelong resident. DonaVee graduated from Highland High School in 1968 after attending Montezuma Elementary and Jefferson Middle School. She went on to UNM to obtain an associate degree in Radiology Technology and was a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. DonaVee was an X-ray, MRI and CT Technologist and eventually became the supervisor of the CT department at Presbyterian Hospital where she worked for 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and friends. She loved to be silly, laugh and have fun. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family and seeing many various places.

Preceding her in death are her parents, William H. Danley Jr. and Clarice Danley. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael L. Butler; daughter, Amie and husband, David Shepherd of Sandia Park, NM and their children, Zachary and Nicholas Shepherd; son. Jason M. Butler of Sandia Park, NM and his children, Trista Coy and Michael L. Butler II; brother, William H. Danley III Of Havre, MT and his family; brother, James D. Danley of Tularosa, NM and his family; as well as in-laws and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit FRENCH - University, Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024, 10:30 a.m. also at FRENCH - University with interment following the service at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. There will be a celebration of life reception following the graveside service at Heights Christian Church, 6935 Comanche Rd. NE.
