Donald Alan Oman, age 73, passed into heaven on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 with his wife by his side. He leaves behind a legacy of love, humor, and a myriad of people who loved him dearly.
Don first worked for many years in aerospace but found his true calling as a middle school teacher for Albuquerque Public Schools. He taught at Wilson, Kennedy, and Jackson Middle school as well as Highland High School. Don was a Golden Apple recipient for teaching excellence while at Kennedy Middle School.
Don is survived by his loving wife, Letha; daughter, Jennifer Oman and fiancé Callan Contreras; sisters, Carol Ladner and Anne Whitten and husband Terry. His family of friends was immense, and his pretend grandchildren brought great joy to his life.
