Donald F. "Don" McLeroy

Donald F. "Don" McLeroy, 83, passed away October 29, 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lupita; his children, Fernando and Kathleen (husband Chris); grandson, Alexander; his brother, Roland (wife Joan); nieces, Cathy, Ceci, Monse; nephews, Randy and Guillermo; and many other family and friends.

Don was a graduate of the University of New Mexico and received his doctorate in Geology at Stanford University. He was a professor at Lehigh University, then worked for Bethlehem Steel before moving to Mexico where his passion for Geology led to starting his own company, Minera Apolo. Don enjoyed the outdoors, especially the mountains in Mexico, traveling all over the world, music, was an avid reader, and enjoyed a fine tasting wine. His greatest joy was his family especially his grandson, Alexander, who called him "Papapa".

Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 3, 2018, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Lomas with burial to follow.
