Donald G. McGee

Donald G. McGee (Maggie), age 79, loving father, grandfather and friend to many, passed away December 5, 2017.

Don was known for his kind, caring and joking personality. He loved going out with friends, traveling, meeting new people and people watching. Don was that guy that would give you the shirt off his back and never once ask you for anything in return. He never met a stranger, and most of the people he did meet became lifelong friends. If you wanted a good place to eat this was your guy. He graduated from Santa Fe High school in 1958. He retired from the phone company after 30 years of service. He also served in the US Army. He was then a massage therapist and worked with the under privileged kids. He was always proud of lending a helping hand to volunteer work.

He is survived by his daughter, Jolynda Brown and husband, Rob Brown of Childress TX; his two granddaughters, Trevella Mills of Childress, TX and Latrica Mills of Dallas, TX; his little dog Ricky; several cousins and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomie Downing; and Weldon Maurice McGee.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m., at FRENCH – University.
