Donald Frank Kidder, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 5, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. Don's full life encompassed many experiences as a husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed numerous interests throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman as well as a multisport athlete who loved to play golf. He served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from UC Berkeley and retired as a Quality Manager from Siemens in Albuquerque. In his final years, he solved the world's problems with his friends over daily coffee. He was famous for his dry sense of humor and kept his family and friends entertained.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carolyn Miles Kidder; his sons & spouses, Frank & Kristi, Ward & Elena and Keith Kidder & Dr. Laura Scott as well as his grandchildren; Brett and Grant. He is also survived by his brother, Chuck and his wife, Glennis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Avis Kidder; his brother, Samuel, and his sister, Luanne.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming, 7121 Wyoming Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A private interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to your favorite charity in Don's honor.
