Donald Jude Damacio Garduno

Donald Garduno, age 60, of Rio Rancho, NM, formerly of Santa Fe, NM, passed away on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021. Donald was born on April 17th, 1960. Donald loved life to the fullest and he lived it that way. He enjoyed, fishing, spending time with family, and watching his beloved Miami Dolphins.

He served his country in the United States Army for 6 years. Donald was a fun-loving guy who was always ready to lend a helping hand. The door to his house was always open to his family and friends offering a place for a good time and good food. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Ramona Garduno; brothers, Jimmy, Ernest, Sammy and Robert Garduno; and mother-in-law, Mary Lewis. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Deanna Garduno; children, Kristy Garduno (Arthur Lopez), Gerald Garduno (Marisol), and Donald Garduno (Sarah); grandchildren, Marissa and Arthur Lopez and Layla and Santino Garduno; brothers, Eddie Garduno (Gloria), Leonard Garduno (Roberta); sisters, Marcella Armijo (Fidel), Maryanne Witkowski (Woody), Bernice Chavez (Manuel), Kathy Garduno, Linda Gonzalez (Nate), Jeannie Guereca (Phillip); father-in-law, Gerald Lewis; and sisters-in-law, Marcella Garduno, Cecilia Borrego of Kansas City, MO, Anita Ruiz (Fernando) and Marie Lewis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Rosary will be recited on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m., St. Anne Parish, 511 Alicia St. Santa Fe, NM 87501.

Serving as pallbearers are sons, Gerald, and Donald; grandson, Arthur; son-in-law, Arthur; nephew, Frank Gonzalez; and brother-in-law, Fernando.

Honorary pallbearers are grandchildren, Marissa, Layla, and Santino and brothers, Leonard and Eddie.

Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
