Donald J. Brady

Donald J. Brady passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sylvia; four daughters, Cheri Qualls, Terri Braden, Christy Sanders and Vicky Scoby. He has seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Don grew up in Iowa, and spent his childhood milking cows, hunting and fishing. He learned at an early age to shuck corn, shock oats, drive a team of horses and a tractor, and he still found time to play on the basketball and softball teams at school. Don was an electrician by trade and helped wire many of Albuquerque's major buildings. He could fix anything from a broken toaster to the family car. Don joined the Air Force during the Korean conflict and while stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, he met and married Sylvia. Don enjoyed many hobbies including raising Miniature Schnauzers, hunting, fishing, cruising, making stained glass windows and making jewelry. He also enjoyed Native American art. He was an active member of Los Altos Christian Church for over 50 years.

Services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, 1:00 p.m., at Los Altos Christian Church, 11900 Haines Ave NE, 87112. It is requested in lieu of flowers a donation be made to Los Altos Christian Church.
