Donald Allen Weakland

Donald Allen Weakland went peacefully into the arms of our Lord and Savior on January 16, 2022, with his wife and children by his side. Don was born July 21,1950, in Burnt Cabins, Pennsylvania. He was a proud US Army veteran, worked as a delivery driver, an Associate Pastor at Fellowship Baptist Church, an electric supply salesman, and was called as Pastor of the Berean Baptist Church where he faithfully served for 14 years. He loved Jesus, his wife, his family, his church family, and missionaries (and, of course, his puppies).  As the youngest of 9 children, he did not have an easy childhood, but he was a hard worker, had a wonderful sense of humor and a desire to lead others to Christ. He was a faithful son, husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, Pastor, mentor, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him, and the world has one less light in it without his presence.  In the past two years he battled dystonia, prostate cancer and covid.

He is survived by his beautiful wife, Nichole. His sister Esther. His sisters-in-law Gloria, Sherry and Tanya, and her husband Michael.  Son Jeremy and his wife Boo.  Daughter Jennifer and husband Pat, their children Gabriel, Ashley, and Gracie.  Daughter Sara and her husband JJ, their children Laynie and her husband Travis and their daughter Amelia Joy, Dawn and her husband Ryan, Ella, and Henry.  Grandchildren Tyler and his wife Lauren (their children Greyson and Ford), Katey and Tyler Nicholas.  He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Esther, his brothers Gordie, Leo, Johnny, Jimmy, Jerry, his sisters Peggy, and Bonnie.  His son, Jeff, and great-granddaughter Maddie and two grandchildren that we never got to meet.  As well as many other extended family and friends.
