Dolores Church

Dolores A. Church, 96, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque entered into Eternal Life from her home last Sunday March 10th, 2019.

She was born, Maria Dolores Apodaca, on September 7, 1922, to Antonio J. Apodaca and Manuela (Sanchez) Apodaca.  She attended, Sacred Heart Catholic School, St. Vincent’s Academy, Albuquerque High School and Western School of Business.  She married Warren L. “Red” Church in 1949 and was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church since 1954. She retired from the Social Security Administration, Bureau of Hearings and Appeals in 1985.

She was proceeded in death by “Red” her husband of fifty-nine years and her son Warren L. “Butch” Church Jr. She is survived by her sister, Lutgarda Gonzales of Albuquerque; her daughter, Audrey Klaurens of Albuquerque; her two sons, Jeffrey Church of Lubbock, Texas and Jerome Church and wife Jo of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick Klaurens, Eric Klaurens, JT Church, Jason Church, Jimmy Church.

Rosary will be recited Sunday, March 17, 2019, 7:00 p.m. at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 833 Arizona, S.E. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Monday, March 18, 2019, 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Ghost Catholic Church.

Prior to her death, she requested in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Holy Ghost Parish “Building Fund” or Holy Ghost School.
