Dina (Martinez) Quiroa, age 78, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went to be with Lord on Friday, October 1, 2021, surrounded by her Loving family. Dina was born on September 6, 1943, to Henry and Dora Valles in Corona, California. She was the eldest of four children. Dina went to school in Garden Grove, California and graduated in 1962. Dina loved her family, and she was strong in her faith. She made sure that her children were taught the meaning of God and his Commandments. She also believed that hard work was the only way you could accomplish the things in life to support your family. Dina instilled this in her children. She touched many lives as a foster mom and passed on her wisdom and strength to them.
Dina loved to cook and make fresh tortillas, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, and playing with her dog, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family. Dina was known for her delicious tamales that she made during the holidays. She received request from friends and family to send her tamales for those who were out of town visiting family. Dina's family will do their best to mimic her tamales during the holidays.
She leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Some cousins like Eileen were considered as close as sister for her. Dina also leaves behind a close childhood friend like Madeliene Ojeda and a special friend like Cindy Granados who were like family to her. Dina didn't have many people she considered friends but if she called you her friend considered yourself lucky because she held you in high regard.
Dina is survived by her second husband, Nery Quiroa. Her four children: Marty and his wife, Cathy Martinez, Randy and his wife, Lisa Martinez, Crystal Martinez, and David and his wife Jessica Martinez. Dina's 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; and her numerous foster children. Dina is also survived by her sisters, Eva McClellan and Arlene Fee. Their love for each other is indescribable.
