Diane Polasky, 70, of Albuquerque, NM, formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, died on Thursday, February 22, 2023. She was born on Tuesday, December 16, 1952 in Saginaw, MI to Frank and Betty Polasky; older sister Wendy (Polasky) Good, and younger brother William Polasky.
She has treated the Albuquerque community as an acupuncturist and healer since 1987 and held Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Religion, Masters degrees in Psychology and Herbology and a Doctorate in Oriental Medicine. She was an Ordained Minister (CSE), the first acupuncturist to be able to provide cannabis evaluations in the country, specialized in acupuncture for infertility and pregnancy, board certified by the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress in both traumatic stress and pain management, and was a certified Death Educator and Grief Counselor. Since 1990, Diane trained with the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and the Order of Bards, Ovates, and Druids (OBOD-UK), and studied with various indigenous healers, medicine teachers, and renowned leaders in the field of Energy Medicine. She has been in private practice since 1991.
She is beloved and missed by her only daughter Dr. Leryn Messori; son-in-law Tyson Messori; her two grandchildren Delia and Cole Messori; her brother William Polasky, his wife Lora Polasky, their child Lydia Polasky; her niece Betty Polasky; her ex-husband and friend Dr. William Doggett and his wife Julie Doggett; her step-brother Jonathan Siegel, his wife Sejin Siegal, and their daughters Hannah and Libby Siegel; her aunt Marianne Smith; and countless other friends, family, and people. Diane had a gift for helping and healing those that she came across in her life. Her loss will be felt far and wide in many communities.
