Desiree Nicole Maurino, age 24, became an angel peacefully in her sleep on January 26, 2015. She was born on April 28, 1990 in Albuquerque and graduated from Sandia High School in 2008. Desiree had the biggest and kindest heart of her entire family and wanted to take care of all of us. She would befriend and talk to anyone and always wanted to make a difference and make people happy. Movies, music and singing were her passions and she doted on her pets, Yoshi and Mitten. Desiree and her Nana were inseparable. Her loss is unrepairable. She is survived by her Nana and Bonco, Betty and Jeff Hall; Mother, Amy Maurino; brothers, Aaron and Brian; sister, Alyssa and niece, Ashlyn; Uncle and Godfather, Ernie Maurino and Aunt Sonia and cousins Craig, Christopher, Cameron, Lorenzo and Isangele; and great-grandparents, Pearl Crespin (Lil One) and Rudy and Debbie Crespin. Desiree brightened our lives with her laugh, her smile, her funny phrases and sense of humor. Desiree was beautiful inside and out. She will be missed by many and now lost to the world. "Death ends a life, but it does not end a relationship, which struggles on in the survivor's mind toward some resolution which it may never find." A Rosary will be recited Monday, February 2, 2015, 7:00 p.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, February 3, 2015, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
