A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Derek Edward Johnson will be hosted by his father, Carl Ed Johnson, Jr., at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Desert Springs Church, 705 Osuna Road, NE in Albuquerque. All friends and family of Derek and his dad are welcome. A reception will immediately follow the service.
Derek was the beloved son of Edward Johnson and Laura Johnson, and passed into eternity on April 13, 2016. He was 22 years young. During his time in this life, Derek's kind, compassionate, and loving spirit touched the hearts and lifted the spirits of many people. He embraced every opportunity to help anyone in need. His kindness and insight made the world a brighter place, and we will dearly miss him.
