Denny Leon Mitchell

Denny Leon Mitchell, born in Estancia, New Mexico, Friday, April 10, 1936, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2019, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  He was 83.  He is survived by his two children, Michelle A. Mitchell and Brad L. Mitchell; grandchildren, Chase and MacKenzie; sisters, Bettye Anderson, Tamzie Brown, Bobbie Estes; and loving family and friends.

Denny founded Form-Cove Mfg. Co. Inc. in 1965 and is still operating today under his former wife of 33 years, Leslie D. Longoria. Denny loved his country music. He started writing lyrics before he was 10 years old and taught himself to play the guitar in his early 20s. He met Leslie in 1962 and three years later they were married, in 1965. Denny also was the lead guitarist in “The Estancia Valley Boys” in the early 60s for 3-4 years and then started Form-Cove.

Denny was a humble, soft-spoken man and would not think twice about giving the shirt off his back to help anyone. He will be truly missed and held in our hearts forever.
