Delma A. Montoya passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 24, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Delma was born in Las Vegas, New Mexico, on Monday, October 21, 1940, to Angelica and Jose Ignacio Montoya. She was preceded in death by her brother, Nash Montoya; and sister-in-law, Kathy Montoya. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jimmy Montoya; her two children, Carla Smith, Yancy Montoya, and wife, Yvonne Montoya; four granddaughters, Rebecca Montoya, Jennifer Montoya, Madison Smith (25), and Kennedy Smith (20); two brothers, Eloy Montoya, and wife, Agnes Montoya, Joe "Liggie" Montoya; sister-in-law, Laura Montoya; with an abundance of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Albuquerque was her beloved home where she enjoyed going out to eat, watching movies, bowling, playing bingo, and cards. She enjoyed sitting outside, while enjoying the beautiful weather visiting with family, friends, and neighbors. She made the best breakfast and told the best jokes. She will be greatly missed.
She and her husband are active members of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Reception:
Friday, September 9, 2022, 4:30 p.m., at the residence of Will and Vickie Duran, 8400 Rancho Colina NW.
