Delfino Rodriguez Jr

RODRIGUEZ, DELFINO JR., Age 78, of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 22, 2014. He is survived by Priscilla, his wife of 51 years; children, Kenneth Rodriguez, Patrick Rodriguez, Timothy Rodriguez and wife Rachelle, and Teresa Rodriguez and husband Marcel; grandchildren, Jennifer, Carlo, Estevan, Andre, Joaquin, Alejandro and Angelica; and great-grandson, Elias. Delfino was preceded in death by parents, Delfino and Adela Rodriguez; sister, Marveen; and brother, Carmel. He was born in San Luis, CO and received his diploma from Laramie High School. Delfino then served his country in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. He then earned his BA in Education from Adams State College and later received his dual-master's degree from UNM. He retired from Cuba High School after 25 years. He was an avid golfer, outdoorsman, who enjoyed walking his dog, Morenita. He was a man of deep faith who attended mass daily and served his parish as a Eucharistic Minister. Delfino was a wonderful example to his family, leading by words and example. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday, March 26, 2014, 7:00 p.m., at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande, 5901 St Joseph's Ave NW. The Mass will be celebrated Thursday, March 27, 2014, 8:00 a.m., also at the church. A committal service will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m., with Military Honors.
