Deena Louise (Gurule) Gurule

Deena Gurule, age 56, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, April 17, 2023, surrounded by her family. Deena is survived by her mother, Cecilia Gurule, she was preceded in death by her father, Reyes Gurule (April 12, 2023). She is survived by her siblings, Larry Gurule (Lorraine), Sandra Varela (Bill), Steve Gurule, Becky LeFaive (Patrick), and Sheila Gurule (Gene Johnson). She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, Angela Gurule, Sarah Rogowski (Mark), Desi Gurule, Racquel Gurule, Felicia Gurule, Sylvia (Kristy) Marquez (David), Jayson Varela, and Gabriel Varela. Deena was a resident of the ARCA South Valley Group Home for 39 years. During her time there she was employed at the Adelante Mail Center, a job she truly loved! She also participated in bowling and swimming programs and was an annual participant in the Special Olympics. She also had many very caring caregivers over the years and one very special angel, Dorina. A Rosary, followed by a Mass for Deena and her father Reyes, will be held Friday, April 28, 2023, at 9:00 AM, at Sacred Heart Church, 309 Stover Ave SW,
Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to ARCA.
