Dean Walton Davis, age 84, a resident of Los Lunas for 50 years, died Tuesday, December 12, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jean; children, Jerry Davis, Steve Davis and wife, Brenda, Cynthia Parker and husband, Rick, and SharonKay Petmecky and husband, Don; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, with two on the way; sister, Marjorie Dewey; nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends. Dean was preceded in death by his grandson, Robert Jerry Davis; parents, Walton Henry and Frances Elizabeth Jensen Davis; and sisters, Shirley Garritson and Marie Bodily.
He was born in 1933 in Pocatello, ID and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1951. He proudly served four years in the United States Air Force, which took him to Mississippi, Illinois, and Morocco. While in Mississippi he met and fell in love with Jean Parker. They were married on May 13, 1953.
Services will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017, 10:30 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Hwy 314 and James Street, Los Lunas, NM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, Albuquerque. Pallbearers will be his six grandsons.
