David F. Wetzel

David Flynn Wetzel, Age 66, died November 11, 2014. He is survived by his sister, Jan Wimsatt and husband, Ron of Las Cruces; brother, Dick Sparks of Pecos, NM; half-sister, Susi Wetzel of Indiana; Aunt Donna and husband, Leo of Richmond, Indiana; three nephews, and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his angel and caretaker, Lana Wright and his good friend, Kathy Mayer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Sally Sparks and his birth father, Norman Wetzel. Dave was born in Hobbs, NM where he graduated from high school. He then attended and graduated from Eastern NM University with his Bachelors of Business Administration. He was an active member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He then moved to Albuquerque where he lived and worked until his death. David was an accomplished businessman, an avid golfer and enjoyed travel worldwide. David was a kind and generous man and a good friend to many. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be Friday, November 21, 2014, 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
