David T. Stout, age 68, left this earth for a new body in Heaven, Saturday, July 15, 2023. David was born 1955 in Lubbock, Texas, to Irene (Stewart) Stout and Wesley Stout. The family moved to Ft. Sumner, NM a few years later and David started school there. His dad was a truck driver and the family lived on a small farm in the valley. They all worked hard and played hard too! David graduated from Ft. Sumner High School and proudly joined the US Army. He met his wife, Kay (Nahlovsky) in Ft. Sumner, they married in October 1975. After the Army, he began a 34-year career at Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, where he worked in several security venues and formed some great friendships. After retirement, David and Kay, moved from their long-time place in Edgewood, NM to Kansas, Colorado, then back to New Mexico and enjoyed outdoor activities with family and friends where he was most comfortable and happy. He never met a stranger and was always willing to swap stories, especially about fishing, hunting, and working in Yellowstone National Park. David and Kay joined Hoffmantown Church after returning to NM.
David is survived by his wife of almost 48 years, Kay (Nahlovsky) Stout; his daughters, Amanda Lovato (Cody) of Albuquerque, NM and Sherry Stout of Denver, CO; one brother, Roy Stout (Jana) of Lubbock, TX; one sister, Karon Moore (Johnny) of Dennison, TX; one like-a-brother, Keith Nahlovsky(Kathy), four wonderful grandchildren, aunts, uncles, many cousins, and a bunch of fun-loving nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Irene (Stewart) Stout, and two brothers, James W Stout and Mike Stout.
