David Marcial Ortega, 51, beloved father, was called to his eternal resting place on February 28, 2016. He entered this world on September 22, 1964 in Albuquerque, NM, born to Victor and the late Carolyn Ortega.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Danielle Samantha Ortega of Albuquerque, NM; his father and step-mother Victor R. Ortega and Carol Homuth Ortega of Corrales, NM; his brother, John Victor Ortega of Boulder, CO; his sister and brother-in-law, Peter and Annamarie Ortega Shunny, of Steamboat Springs, CO; his aunt, Marylou Witz of Chicago, IL, and many loving friends.
David was a great chef. He was a culinary master of red chili with a sharp wit and a huge heart. He had a passion for the outdoors, all things mechanical, and enjoyed fly fishing.
A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
