David Walter Ogden, Jr.

David W. Ogden, Jr., age 84, a resident of Grants, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. He entered this world on November 5, 1938, in Oklahoma City and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patty Ogden of Grants; their puppy Misty; daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Larry Edmonson of Rio Rancho; son and daughter-in-law Flint and Krista Ogden of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Garrett Andrews, Kimberly Lizzi, Morgan Andrews, David Ogden, and Benjamin Ogden; and great-grandchildren, Paulina Lizzi, Adonis Martin, and Logan Lizzi. He was preceded in death by his parents, David W. Sr. and Ruby Lou Ogden, and his daughter, Vicki Andrews.

David was a hardworking, intelligent, and loving man. He began his mining career in 1959 and retired after 34 years as a supervisor with Rio Algom Mining Company. David loved his family, and they always came first. He was drawn to music at a young age and played piano on a weekly radio program. David passed on his love of music to all 3 of his children and grandchildren. David loved his home in Grants; however, he enjoyed traveling with his wife, children, and puppies.

A Memorial Service and Ennichment will be held on Friday, December 30, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., in the Chester, T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM.
David will be greatly missed by his loving family. He will be remembered as a son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
