David León Mondragón, age 51, beloved father, son, brother, and friend to an incredible array of people, passed away August 15, 2023. David was known for his charming personality, his mad guitar and cooking skills, his warm smile, and his ability to engage with anyone and brighten their day. A graduate of Valley High School and the University of Denver, David was also brilliant, as evidenced by the four technology patents he held and his innate ability in things mechanical. He is survived by his children, Mateo Mondragón, Asia Mondragón and Savannah Mondragón-Martinez. He is also survived by his parents Fred Mondragón (Connie) and Elaine Mondragón Andersen (John); his siblings, Fred Mondragón (Tina), Paul Mondragón (Sandie), Tom Mondragón (Anne), Susanna Mondragón (Brett Nagelbush); and his far too close to be called step-brothers, Jeff Vance (Lora), David Vance (Rebekah) and Gordon Andersen, and Hal (Marcia) and MaryJo Andersen. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and who in turn loved him as the "fun uncle." David also had many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him deeply.
