David Ward King passed away on May 12, 2013. Mr. King was an attorney who practiced for over thirty years in Albuquerque with Threet and King Law firm. He was very involved in politics and helped Pete Domenici run for office. Mr. King was born in Minden, Nebraska and grew up in Mexico, Missouri and Medicine Lodge, Kansas, where he was known as "Ward". He attended law school at the University of Texas in Austin. Mr. King was a kind and loving man who adored his wife of 54 years, Carol King (who is deceased). He enjoyed his family and loved playing with his children and grandchildren. He had a terrific sense of humor and relished telling stories and jokes. He enjoyed gardening, politics, reading, history and sports. David is survived by his eldest daughter, Liz Cavin, his other daughter, Caroline Cossin, his son-in-law, Chris Cossin, his two grandchildren Christopher and Cate Cossin, his son David H. King, his daughter-in-law, Angel King and his four grandsons, William, Andrew, Sam and Harrison King, his brother Lyle King and family, his brother John King and family, and his sister-in-law Georgeanne King and her family. He is also survived by numerous friends and colleagues.
