David Wesley Browder, 69, a devout servant of the Lord, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend went home to be with his heavenly father on Monday, March 24, 2025.
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Darla; his three sons, Wesley and wife Stephani, Tyler and wife, Sydnee and Zachary; and his three precious grandchildren, Noah, Charlotte, and River. He is also survived by his two brothers, Joe and Jim Browder. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Alice Browder.
Born in Amarillo, TX on April 9, 1955, Dave was the middle of 3 boys. He grew up in Colorado Springs, CO and attended Cheyenne Mountain HS where he discovered his competitive nature playing hockey, baseball, and tennis but his heart belonged in Gunnison, CO. That is where his parents moved the family in 1976. He received his bachelor's degree in business from Western State College. He worked as a partner in the family business, owning and operating the Water Wheel Inn Motel and had his Colorado Real Estate Brokers license. He met his beautiful wife Darla Czillinger, in Gunnison, making extra trips through the drive-thru of the bank she worked at. He married Darla on June 25, 1987, in Denver, CO.
Darla always describes herself as Dave's second love, Golf being his first. His love of golf moved him and Darla around the country until settling in Albuquerque, NM in 1990. He and his family have lived in Albuquerque ever since but his love of being outdoors, fishing, camping, and floating the river would bring his family back to Gunnison often.
There will be a celebration of Dave's life at 10:00 AM on Saturday April 5, 2025, at Glory Christian Fellowship(2417 Wyoming Blvd, Albuquerque, NM 87112), where he and his family have been longtime members.
Dave's kindness, humor and unwavering faith touch the lives of many. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
