She entered this world on September 30, 1961 in Santa Fe, NM, born to James and Betty Parra. She is survived by her daughter Sonia Vasquez, daughter Ray Ponce, son Saul Martinez, spouse Hector Martinez, son-in-law Saul Vasquez, granddaughter Alexa Vasquez, grandson Javian Vasquez, grandson Ezra Vasquez, brother Mark Parra, sister in-law Chey Parra, niece Callan Parra, aunt Darlene Sullivan, aunt Evelyn Gutierrez, brother Dr. James Parra(deceased), aunt Rosa Silva(deceased), aunt Dolores Silva(deceased), aunt Antionette Silva(deceased), uncle James Silva(deceased).

Darlene was strong and took most things with a grain of salt. She was a fighter, defender and protector. Darlene loved to sing, dance, she loved art, had a passion for plants and flowers, she'd get lost in music and also loved deep conversations. The love she shared and displayed was not only unconditional but was also compassionate love. She was always ready to assist in any way she could. Darlene knew a lot about everything and was very wise. Darlene was an organizer, a fixer and problem solver. Her 2 girls were her main focus. Darlene was a phenomenal wife and exceptional grandmother. She loved with no reservations.
