Danny Voight, 75, passed away peacefully and comfortably at his home October 1, 2022, with his loving and devoted wife of 35 years, Joann Sweeney Voight, by his side. He entered this world on October 11, 1946, in Clayton, OK, born to Rudy and Dorothy Voight.
He graduated from Carlsbad High School where he then attended UNM and achieved a Business Degree. Danny was in the automobile industry for over 40 years where he was the General Sales Manager and the Used Car Director of Bob Turner Ford. In 2003, he opened Danny Voight's Auto Center where he continued until retirement.
Danny was very dedicated to his work. He would fly to Phoenix in the early mornings to attend the auto auctions and found them to be very exciting.
Danny was a very intelligent man. He could fix or repair any home repair issue and was willing and gracious with his time for others that had those same repair needs. Danny loved his home and there wasn't a Sunday morning where he wasn't up early and out in the yard maintaining and manicuring it. He took pride in his home, and this brought him much joy. He was very blessed to be able to travel the world, including places such as Australia, Europe, as well as many states in the United States. His favorite place though was spending time at his home and boating at Elephant Butte. Danny was quite the shopper and loved beautiful things but was always a just a steak and potato guy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joann; daughter, Dana Miller; son-in-law, Brian; grandchildren, Kaiya, and Zander; son, Danny Paul; and his devoted and loving caretaker, Berlinda Ortiz.
