Daniel Edward Boyle Jr.

Daniel Edward Boyle Jr., at the age of 92, went home to the Lord peacefully with his 2 daughters by his side on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Ed was born in Pueblo Colorado, to Daniel and Claire Boyle, and attended New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell, NM, where he received his army commission in May 1953, as a 2nd Lt. He was ordered to Ft. Bragg, NC., Paratrooper School where he received his wings. By 1954 Ed was sent to Frankfurt, Germany, 4th armored division where he became aide to General John Guthrie. In 1955 he returned to Fort Riley, Kansas, with General Guthrie and the 1st armored division and then retired in May 1955, and served in the active reserves.
Ed was athletic, he snowed and water skied, played handball and tennis.
Ed and his wife returned to Albuquerque, and he began working for the Dale Bellamah Corporation, as a construction superintendent and working his way up as a Corporate Executive and became President in 1969. With Ed at the helm of the Corporation and many residential and commercial developments that had been completed such as Princess Jeanne, Eastdale, Northdale and the 1st phase of Coronado Shopping Centers, along with some office buildings and the Four Season's Hotel, he had bigger dreams and he began developing in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Oklahoma and Wyoming until 1980 when he resigned, and formed Boyle & Associates where he continued development projects for many more years. Ed was also a pilot sand enjoyed time in his airplane.
Ed served on many Boards in his lifetime from Presbyterian Hospital to Financial Institutions active with many community nonprofits and the Church. Ed helped raise funds to open New Heart rehabilitation Center. He mentored many over his lifetime and always made his family his priority.
Ed and his wife Pat celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on Monday, January 9, 2023. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is also survived by his 3 children, Dan Boyle of Rockport, Texas, Patty Boyle-Fida of Riverview, FL., Cindy Boyle-Norris and husband Scott of Arroyo Seco, NM. His grandchildren Kris and his wife Katie Wilken and Josh and his wife Katie Wilken both in Valrico, FL., Gabe Boyle and wife Joan, of Medford, Or., and Daniel Boyle and wife Andrea of Albuquerque. Great-grandchildren, Jace, Brock, Brayden, McKenna, Braxton, Brady, Presley and Bryant Wilken, David and Daniel Boyle, Venezia and Ainsley Boyle.
The Celebration of Life will be Friday, August 18, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Heights Cumberland Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE., Albuquerque with a Reception to follow at the Church.
