It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Damien Morett announces his unexpected passing at the age of 38, on the morning of Saturday, September 23, 2017. Damien was born on April 29, 1979 in Albuquerque, NM, to Allan and Merle Ann Morett. He attended Highland High School and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice. Damien was a wonderful loving husband, father, brother and friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan and Merle Ann Morett. Damien will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Angelique Morett; daughter, Dominique Morett; son, Santiago Montoya; brother, Jason Morett (Tamara Newman); nephew, Anakin Morett; sister, Alene Houke (David); nephews, Joel and Matthew Anderson, Anthony Houke; niece, Allie Houke; mother-in-law, Mary Gonzales; father-in-law, Antonio Gonzales III; brother-in-law Antonio Gonzales IV (Alicia); nephew, Antonio Gonzales V; sister-in-law’s, Jozette Chavez (Manuel); nieces, Jocelyn and Ashley Chavez, Melanie Chavez (James); nieces Desarae and Jordan Chavez; Grandpa, Nicholas Olguin; and Nana, Clorinda Gonzales. Damien will also be fondly remembered by aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Westside. A Mass will be held Friday, September 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 5712 Paradise Blvd. NW Albuquerque, NM 87114. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
