Cynthia Louise Wise

Cindy Wise was born November 10, 1960 to Carl and Winnie Niehaus in Jacksonville, IL and passed away March 29, 2015. She graduated Valedictorian from Routt High School in 1978. She graduated with honors from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, Illinois in 1982. She moved to New Mexico in 1982 and Cindy married Timothy L. Wise (her prince charming) in 1989. She is survived by their three children, Brian Wise and Nathan Wise of Albuquerque and Angela Wise of St. Louis. She is also survived by her mother, Winnie Niehaus and siblings, Jennifer Thieman, Suzanne Nold, Katherine Hopkins, and Michael Niehaus. She was the owner of Wise Financial Planning and Wealth Management LLC founded in 2005. She was a licensed Financial Planner, Insurance Agent, and Registered Representative. Her accomplishments include Brownie Leader and Cub Scout Leader; Our Lady of Fatima School Board member and volunteer; Parish Council Secretary and Fundraiser; Instructor for the NM Project for Financial Literacy; American Association of University Women Co-President; Past Better Business Bureau of the Southwest Board Chairman and long term board member. Probably never described as quiet and demure, Cindy liked to "get things done." If you ever served on any committee or task with her, you know she had two speeds - stop and go. Cindy battled ovarian cancer over two years and was thankful for blessings and miracles throughout her life. As a recipient of much needed blood transfusions, she wished to encourage people to donate blood whenever possible. Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church for the much needed heating and air conditioning system. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 7:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 4020 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, 87110. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, April 8, 2015, 3:30 p.m., also at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
