Cynthia Ann (Valadez) Dennis

Cynthia Ann Dennis, 61, beloved wife and mother, was called to her eternal resting place on February 28, 2020, after battling Corticobasal Degeneration disease for eight years.

Cynthia entered this world on August 6, 1958, in El Paso, TX, born to Rudolph and Martha Valadez. She is survived by her father, Rudolph Valadez Sr.; her husband, Michael Dennis; her daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Kevin Huffman; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Terri Dennis; and her four grandchildren, Cole (6), Cooper(4), Quinn (4), and Sawyer (1).

Cynthia was a devoted wife and mother, a loyal friend, and a joyful soul. The energy she brought into a room was contagious. Her friends and family describe her as kind, welcoming, fun-loving, and STRONG. She was there to lean on when you needed comfort and had the best advice when asked. Two of her favorite past times were teaching and tennis. Her former students would all agree, Mrs. Dennis was the best teacher a kid could ask for. Her former tennis partners would all agree, she was a force to be reckoned with on the courts.

As her husband Mike once stated in a family Christmas letter, "Cindy is the glue that holds this family together." We saw this glue become even stronger as the family stood by her side throughout her fight and carried out the traditions and values she instilled in them. This will continue to be true then, now, and for future generations.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87122.
