Cristobal "Chris" Sanchez
October 28, 1938 — July 8, 2016
Cristobal (Chris) Sanchez, 77, passed away at home on Friday July 8, 2016. He was born in Tierra Amarilla, NM October 28, 1938 and moved to Albuquerque in 1957. He was preceded in death by parents, Cristobal and Casimira Sanchez; and sisters, Lupita and Anna.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Betty; son and daughter-in-law, Dominic and Jana Sanchez; daughter and son-in-law, Kristine and Joe Christman; and sons, Lennie and Chris Sanchez; grandchildren, Austin, Nick, Alyssa, Brianna, Kaiden, Lauren and David; as well as many countless family and friends.
Chris proudly served in the United States Navy from 1959-1965 where he was able to explore many countries. After his honorable discharge, he worked as a drywall installer and finisher. Chris and Betty were active and longtime members of Our Lady of Annunciation Parish. He enjoyed a quiet retirement until his passing. He will be missed by family and friends.
The Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Wyoming in Albuquerque. Friends may visit beginning at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated the following day, Thursday, July 14, 2016, 8:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Annunciation Parish, 2621 Vermont St. NE.
