Craig (Oly) Olson

Craig (Oly) Olson of Corrales, age 74, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born March 31, 1950, in Riverside, CA, to Charles (Chick) and Elizabeth (Betty) Olson. He is survived by his son, Cisco Sedillo and spouse Audra of Arvada, CO; daughter, Michelle Sedillo and spouse, James Vallejos of Rio Rancho; grandchildren, Devon and spouse, Abby, Cameron, Jalen, Mari, Samantha, and Quinn; great-grandchild, Andre; nephew, Robert Olson and spouse, Sara; best friend, Gary Crawford; and a very large family of other dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Janice Olson; and his beloved wife, Linda Olson.

Oly was quite the character and was masterful in the art of sarcasm. All joking aside though, he was quick-witted, knowledgeable in a variety of subjects, and had such a generous heart. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Oly was someone who had a deep appreciation and love for nature, the environment, and animals. He was also an avid backpacker in his younger days and enjoyed spending time in the mountains where he felt most at peace. He will be missed immensely by his family and friends. Oly, may your journey in the next life be filled with amazement, love, laughter, and the most wonderful adventures.

A celebration of Oly's life will be held in the late Spring/Early Summer of 2025 in the Jemez Mountains. Date, time, and location to be determined.
