Covert Dean "Fritz" Anderson, 88, beloved Father and Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on December 21, 2021. He entered this world on October 23, 1933, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, born to Donald and Josephine Anderson. As a young man, Covert moved to Carlsbad, New Mexico with his family where he graduated from high school and later met his wife of more than 60 years. Covert served in the National Guard several years and was a welder by profession, even working a season in Antarctica. He also worked as a butcher while living in Canada, as well as at the old Triangle Grocery Store in Ceder Crest. He was an avid hunter in his younger years and turned animal lover in his later years.
He is survived by his daughter Katherin York and spouse Clendon; daughter Jody Carlson; son Lenn Anderson; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild and also his sister Donna McBee.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Anderson; sons Kreag Anderson & Dean Anderson; grandson Dillon Carlson.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, 2022, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas, 10500 Lomas Blvd, NE. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12121 NM -14, Cedar Crest, New Mexico.
