Cordelia Ruby Gallegos

Born April 28, 1956, died January 10, 2022.  Loving wife, mother, companion, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.  Cordelia was born in Las Vegas, NV to Tim and Pauline Gutierrez of Albuquerque, NM. She grew up and spent all her adult life in Albuquerque, NM where she married, had a family, and built a home. Cordelia spent most of her teen years living in Artesia, NM. Cordelia was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was the baby sister to 14 brothers and sisters.

Cordelia was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved antiques, a casino, and good finds. She made a profession doing what she loved. You could always find her at the casino, an estate sale or on the weekend at a good yard sale. She enjoyed music and comedy, her favorites included George Lopez and Fluffy. Her greatest love was her two only grandchildren Brooke and Shaynah. They were her whole world, and a piece of their heart will always be missing without her.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Gallegos; longtime companion, Joe Lujan; only child, Gina Gallegos; grandchildren, Brooke Lynn Rodriguez, Shaynah Gallegos; animals, Fluff and Hammy; and step-children, Charles Gallegos Jr.  Preceded in death by Michele Gallegos; sisters, Lita Chavez, Yolanda Sweeten, Erlinda Mary Trujillo, Roberta and husband Ronnie Weatherly, Maxine Segura; brothers, Martin and wife Ramona Gutierrez, Raymond and wife Jacque Gutierrez, Tony Gomez; and many nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by parents, Tim and Pauline Gutierrez; her brothers, Tim Gutierrez, and Bernie Blea.

Cordelia was loved by many friends as well and will be greatly missed.
