Constance (Connie) N. Bryant, age 82 died May 29, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico of ovarian cancer. She was born on August 19, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryce and Uretta (Riddle) Morgan, granddaughter Theresa Lynn Donahoo, sister-in-law Winnie Barlow, and brother-in-law Tommy Barlow).

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ted Bryant, daughter Trish Smith (husband Doug), daughter Beverly Donahoo (husband Mike), grandson William Donahoo, brother Dan Morgan (wife Peg), brother-in-law William Bryant (wife Elna), and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Connie spent the first four years of her life in California.  The family then moved to Glenn’s Ferry, Idaho where her parents established a Black Angus cattle ranch. She enjoyed living on the ranch where she had her own horse, Ribbon. She attended grade and high school in Glenn’s Ferry. In high school, she played the clarinet in the marching band. She then went to the College of Idaho where she got her BA degree in Teaching and Business Administration.

She married Ted Bryant on June 9, 1956 after he finished five years in the Navy and she had graduated from college. They moved to Missouri where she taught high school business courses while Ted went to CTI in Kansas City for an associate degree in electronics. After he graduated they moved to Albuquerque, where he was employed by Sandia National Labs for 34 years. She taught a Kirkland Air Force typing class and was a APS substitute teacher from 1974 to 1979.

Connie was very active in various volunteer activities including the Albuquerque Police Department’s school drug program “Just Say No” and city library Preschool reading.  After being concerned about the hostility towards servicemen during the Vietnam War, she and two friends got together with the Mayor and city council to proclaim a day dedicated to “Support Our Men in Vietnam”.

She was also very active in church and politics including being the Republican Party Precinct chairman.  Connie was a long-term member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was very involved in genealogy. She researched and wrote five books covering both the Morgan and Bryant histories.

Along with her husband she traveled extensively both in various motorhomes trips across the U.S., Canada, and Alaska. She also went on many overseas tours and cruises, including to China, England, the Panama Canal, Greece, and portions of Europe. They celebrated their 50th anniversary with family in Hawaii.

Connie will be missed greatly by all who knew her.  She was known for her love of nature, reading, and adventurous spirit.
