Conception Chavez

Our beloved mother, Conception Chavez, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2016. She was a graduate of Belen High School and completed Business School. She married the love of her life, Jose Chavez, who passed away 11 years ago. They were married on September 27, 1949. Mom will be remembered for her classy way of living, and loving her husband and family. Mom has left her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with a wonderful legacy of laughter, good living and the joy of life.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy and husband Harry; and her son, David and wife Peggy. She really loved her grandchildren, Christopher and wife Nickeya, Shawn and wife Jennifer, Joshua, Anthony, LeeAnn and Shannon. Her family kept growing with her great-grandchildren, Desiree, Samira, Dylan, Sebastian, Nikola, Owen, Jaydon, Evelynn, Izabelle, Giavanna and Victoria.
Services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2016, 9:00 a.m., at FRENCH - Wyoming. A reception will follow. She will be laid to rest at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to UNM Cancer Research - Blue Cure Foundation.
