Colten Seth Chavez

Colten Seth Chavez, 28, suddenly passed away October 20, 2018 in his home in Albuquerque, NM. Colten was known for his magnetic personality, quick wit, laughter, and beautiful smile. He loved sports, basketball especially, and was a Dallas Cowboy fan all his life. Colten would often say, “This is going to be the Cowboys year!”

Colten worked as a juvenile correctional officer for CYFD and served in the Army National Guard 2009-2017, with one deployment to Egypt.

Colten grew up in the Church of Christ, was baptized and active in the church youth group when he was younger.

Colten is survived by his parents, George and Brenda Chavez of Los Lunas, NM; Eddie Almaguer of Piedmont, OK; a brother, Holden Chavez of Manchester, NH; a daughter, Kayhalani Sprunk of Albuquerque; a nephew, Aiden Chavez of Kingston, Ontario; along with many other family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 26, 2018, 2:00 p.m., at Netherwood Park Church of Christ, 5101 Indian School Rd. NE.
