Clyde D. "Buzz" Babcock, 92, died Sunday, April 23, 2017.
He is survived by his children, Thomas L. Babcock, Steven R. Babcock, William D. Babcock; and partner, Norman F. Strizek, David J. Babcock, and Linda R. Riley, and partner, Gina Rhodes; four grandchildren, Todd Szpunar, and wife, Wendy, Rachel Szpunar, Noah Babcock and wife, Donna, and Steven J. Babcock, and wife, Bekah; as well as eight great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Buzz was preceded in death by his wife, Marolyn Babcock; one brother, James Babcock; two sisters, Irene Koenecker and Esther Wemple; his daughter, Shari Babcock, and his partner, Elaine Nickerson.
He was born in 1924 in Denver, CO and moved to New Mexico in 1949 where he worked for Sandia National Labs as a technical Illustrator. Buzz enjoyed bicycling, birds and fishing. He was known for his friendly good natured manner and kind heart and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Services will be Friday, May 5, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas.
