Clyde Eugene Reinhardt (Pop), 83, beloved husband, father and grandfather was born on June 9, 1935 in El Paso, Texas. He was the son of Alma and Joseph Reinhardt. Clyde passed away on September 6, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Clyde graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1954 and worked numerous jobs in his lifetime. He was an Assembler at ACF and General Electric, Service Manager at Contractor's Equipment & Supply and Equipment Supervisor at Albuquerque Gravel Products. He retired from Sunland International as a Parts and Service Representative. At one time Clyde was a volunteer firefighter for District 2 in Albuquerque. He and his wife, Nancy, square danced for many years and belonged to several Square Dance Clubs including the Corrales Wranglers. He also coached his sons in Little League Baseball and his daughter in PAL softball.
Clyde is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Nancy; by his sons, Brian and wife Rita, Keith and wife Teresa and his daughter Kelly Enyart and husband Chris; grandchildren, Aaron, Larrisa, Nick, Jossy, Scott, Keith, Sage, Amanda and soon to be great-grandson Logan.
Clyde was a talented mechanic who never hesitated to work on cars for relatives or friends. He took great pride in keeping vehicles repaired for his children and grandchildren and in never calling a repairman to fix anything in his home.
However, Clyde’s greatest pride was his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was happiest when spending time with family, whether it be for birthdays, holidays, camping, traveling or playing “Shanghai”. Clyde always supported his children and grandchildren, going to graduations, weddings, softball, baseball, basketball, track and football games and attending dance recitals, school choir and band performances. Clyde enjoyed watching and attending NASCAR races and he was an avid Lobo Basketball fan, having attended games for over 40 years.
