Cloey Evelyn Plant Riley passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was born on February 3, 1928 on a farm in Estancia Valley. At that time New Mexico was a new state of 16 years. Except for a short time she lived her entire life in New Mexico.
Her parents, Alvin and Anna Mae Plant; her husband; daughter; and son preceded her in death. Cloey was married to Jay for 47 years. Cloey worked for the Bell telephone company and the US government in Los Alamos. She owned her own restaurant in Deming, N.M. The remainder of her time she was wife, mother, contractor in business with her husband.
Cloey surrendered her heart and life to Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in Sandia Baptist Church August 1961 and remained a member at Sandia until her death.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Sandia Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to Sandia Baptist Church, 9429 Constitution Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112.
Cloey is survived by one brother----Alvin T. Plant----her other 3 brothers Joseph Thomas Plant, William Wilson Plant and Richard Raymond Plant all proceeded her in death. Cloey had two sisters----Frances Leona Wilcox and Ida Mae Oldfield—both of her sisters proceeded her in death. Cloey had one daughter---Evelyn Virginia Riley---Ginger proceeded her Mother in death. Cloey is survived by two Granddaughters---Brenda Rene Sweeney and Micki Michelle Bushnell. Cloey is also survived by Great Grandsons, Great Granddaughters, Great Great Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and many many good friends. Cloey loved her Lord, Church family, natural family, and friends.
