Claudina Chacon

Claudina Chacon, 99, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend was called to her eternal resting place on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, joining her husband Silviano. She entered this world on July 8, 1925, in Las Nutrias, NM, born to Vicente Romero and Aurelia Ulibarri. She is survived by daughter, Sylvia Chacon-Gomez; son, Claude (Vincent) Chacon; daughter, Elizabeth Chacon; son, Joseph Chacon; daughter, Anita Chacon; son, Michael Chacon; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Claudina attended the New Mexico School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Alamogordo, NM, where she would meet her future husband of 72 years Silviano Chacon. Claudina enjoyed many hobbies and activities throughout her life; spending time with her family and friends, fishing, camping, traveling, gardening, sewing and knitting. She touched many lives in her 98 years and will be dearly missed but held closely in the hearts of those who will always love her.

A Rosary will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, 6:00 p.m., at FRENCH- University. Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 9:00 a.m., at St. Therese of the Infant Jesus, 3424 4th St., NW, followed by an Entombment Service at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE.
