Clarice Danley
June 11, 1921 — October 20, 2015
Luella Clarice Richardson Danley, 94, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with our Lord and Savior on October 20, 2015. Born in Vera, OK on June 11, 1921, she moved to Albuquerque with her mother, aunt and uncle during her aunt's illness with Tuberculosis in 1931. She graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1939 and continued her education at UNM in Business Administration.
Clarice led a wonderful long life she was a charter member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church and enjoyed being a part of many organizations that include the Fiesteros Round Dance club and was a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for 35 years, was part of the Dental Auxiliary club as the wife of a Dentist, and led the life as an Optimist of Albuquerque member. She also enjoyed ushering many UNM football and basketball games. Amongst traveling a lot with her husband and family, she enjoyed playing bridge with her Bridge club.
Preceding her in death is her husband of 53 years, William H. Danley Jr. She is survived by her son, William H. Danley III of Havre, MT and his children, Bryan and wife Theresa Danley of Chinook, MT and Sarah and husband Andrew Glenn of Lewiston, ID; her daughter, DonaVee and husband Michael Butler of Sandia Park, NM and their children, Amie and husband David Shepherd of Sandia Park, NM and son, Jason and wife Bethany Butler of Edgewood, NM; her son, James and wife Wanda Danley of Tularosa, NM and their child, Nathaniel Casey and wife Stephanie Jones-Danley of Tularosa, NM; and cousin, Gail Twilegar of Albuquerque, NM; as well as 12 great-grandchildren, Zachary and Nicholas Shepherd, Trista Coy and Michael Butler II, Laura and Abigail Danley, Taren, Lela and Anderson Glenn, and Wendy, Amory and Inara Jones-Danley.
Friends may visit Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Services will be held Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at FRENCH - University. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE Albuquerque, NM 87107.
