Clarence Ledbetter

LEDBETTER, CLARENCE RAYAge 85, died December 7, 2012, in Albuquerque, NM. He was born December 31, 1926, in North Choctaw, OK, a son of Crawford and Minnie (Radons) Ledbetter. He was a resident of Oklahoma City from 1950 until December 2006, when he moved to a retirement community in Albuquerque. Mr. Ledbetter served in the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater from 1944 until 1946. After getting out of the Army and marrying Dorothy Pauline Fouquet on March 1, 1947, in Prague, OK, he worked at the U.S. Naval Ordnance Test Station, China Lake, CA. He was at China Lake until October 1950, when he transferred to Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City. In January 1959 he went to work for the Federal Aviation Administration in Oklahoma City and worked there until he retired in September 1979. Mr. Ledbetter was a perpetual member of Siloam Lodge No. 276, A. F. & A. M., Oklahoma City. Mr. Ledbetter is survived by his son Clarence Edward Ledbetter of Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife (December 12, 2009), daughter Anita (April 17, 1994), and his brothers Herman of Abilene, TX, and Richard of Rosharon, TX. At his request, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. The family requests that no flowers be sent.
