Clarence E. Basham, age 92, was a dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He went to meet his Lord and Savior on January 27, 2022. He retired from the Federal Aviation Agency at the Albuquerque air route traffic control center as an electronic systems manager in 1990. After retirement he traveled the United States with his wife and later enjoyed family fishing trips. He was a deacon at Sandia Baptist Church. His survivors include his childhood sweetheart, Janelle Basham that he married over 72 years ago on September 14, 1949. He is also survived by his children (and their spouse’s), Jan Wells, Lance & (Julia) Basham, and William & (Mary) Basham; grandchildren Leslea & (Tommy) Wright, Keith Basham, Michelle Basham, Rachel Basham, Scott Basham, and Kevin Basham; great-grandchildren Ashlea Wright, Brandon Wright, Lazarus Chandler, Alexis Basham, Solomon Scott, Riley Basham, Aaliyah Basham, Kevin Basham Jr. He leaves many cherished nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence R. and Maude Basham and siblings Dorothy Stone, Betty Summers, Geneva Scott, and Genevieve Basham.
Visitation will be held February 8, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at FRENCH – Lomas, 10500 Lomas Blvd NE, with a Funeral Service following at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Keith Basham, Scott Basham, Kevin Basham, Tommy Wright, Brandon Wright, and Brian Soens.
