Clara Ethel (Hinojos) Henson

Clara (Peggy) Hinojos Henson was born on July 11, 1923 in Willard, NM. She was married to Otis Henson for 64 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Henson; parents, Jose Beltran and Clara Dow Hinojos; her brothers, Joe Hinojos from San Diego, California, and Bertram Hinojos from Pueblo, Colorado. She is survived by her daughters, Michelle and husband, Robert McCharen from Houston, Texas; and Nancy and husband,Randall Rowe from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She has 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren

Peggy went to business college and worked as a secretary in insurance. Her faith was a very important part of her life. She sang in the choir and participated in Bible studies. She was an avid Scrabble player, attending many tournaments in Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico as well as the weekly Scrabble Players’ Club in Albuquerque. She was active in the Albuquerque Horseshoe Club for many years. She enjoyed playing the mandolin and reading. She will be greatly missed by her family, but her faith, love and values will live on in those she touched.
