Beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at home on June 28, 2017 at the age of 90. Clara was born on March 21, 1927 to Delbert and Murrel Van Meter in Kansas City, KS. She was married to Captain Claude J. Bridges for 48 years. Clara is survived by her children, Carson and Cynthia Bridges, Chardelle and George Edmonds, Clint and Sheila Bridges, and Claudette Wilmarth; many grandchildren; and great grandchildren. Clara was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband, Claude; and her daughter, Carla. Friends may visit one hour prior to the Rosary being recited Sunday, July 16, 2017, 6:00 p.m. at FRENCH - Lomas. Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 17, 2017, 9:00 a.m. at The Shrine of Saint Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE. A Graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was greatly loved and will be missed by many. Special thanks to Heritage Hospice.
