Christy Lee (Pope) Butler

Christy Lee Pope Butler died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 and was 67 at death. She was born Tuesday, July 21, 1953 in Enid, Oklahoma to Leland Dean Pope and Georgia Helen Prickett Pope. She grew up in Gallup, NM and married Barry Robert Butler and had two children. She received her paralegal degree and had a fulfilling career as an administrative assistant for several Disney projects in Florida and then in higher education for UNM Gallup.

Christy is survived by daughter, Brandy and husband Bryan Hawkins, San Angelo, TX, son, Neal Butler, Gallup, NM, her granddaughter, Hailey Hawkins, San Angelo, TX and sister, Julie Pope-Mills, Winter Garden, FL.
