Christopher Ryan Collins

Christopher Ryan Collins, 20, a vibrant soul, passed away too soon on January 15, 2024 in Albuquerque, NM. Ryan was a bright light to those that knew him. He loved his family deeply and was a devoted, loving, and thoughtful young man. Ryan found joy in 4-legged friends. His animal spirit was the wolf, known to be caring, protective, intelligent, playful, and loyal. To all who knew him, Ryan represented these traits precisely.

As a student at El Dorado High School, Ryan had a passion for the arts. He excelled in music and drama and met many friends through these programs. As a talented trumpet player, he participated in numerous competitions throughout his education. He connected with others when onstage with his portrayal of Bob Cratchit in A Christmas Carol and other characters he played. Regardless of the character, audiences were moved by his performances.

Ryan was a loyal son to his parents, Travis and Tammy Collins. They enjoyed traveling together and most recently went to Ireland to explore and experience his heritage first-hand. His gentle, sweet, and witty nature was a blessing to them throughout his 20 years.

His life was filled with creativity, laughter, debate, and connection with friends and family. He touched them all in profound ways. Ryan loved helping others in any way possible. He would do anything for those he loved, and his life will forever resonate in their hearts.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Tammy and Travis Collins of Albuquerque, NM, grandparents Cheryl and Tommy Vickers of Carlsbad NM, grandparents Delori Brown (Ted) of Aiken, SC, Russ Collins (Ruth) of Warner Robins GA and aunts, Britni Melendez (Raquel) of Albuquerque, Callie Mayrhofen of Carlsbad.

May he rest in peace surrounded by melodies and memories he created with those he loved.

A celebration of life will be held at FRENCH - Wyoming on Friday, January 26, 2024. A viewing will begin at 10:00 am with a service following at 11:00 am.
